Improving on our successful FX8, we now introduce the FX80v2. We have taken users feedback and improved on all points.
\n(Wall mountable for Dolby Atmos \/ Immersive audio)<\/p>\n

Coaxial driver<\/strong>
\nMounted in the center of the woofer is a 30mm silk dome tweeter in a\u00a0coaxial<\/a>\u00a0configuration. Using this technology (unique in its price range) makes it a \u201cpoint source\u201d device, meaning that all the sound emanates from a single point \u2013 not points that are 10\u2033 apart. This is crucial for improving off-axis response, but also allows for a more compact footprint cabinet. Another benefit of coaxial studio monitors is phase coherence, which greatly improves sound clartiy and imaging.<\/p>\n

New, contoured baffle enclosure design<\/strong>
\nKeeping true to the original F-Series \u201ckeyhole\u201d design, the FX enclosure has been updated with a complex radius front baffle, which not only looks pretty cool, it improves cabinet diffraction.<\/p>\n

Boundary compensation DIP switches<\/strong>
\nSometimes the spaces where we mix aren\u2019t the most forgiving acoustically (especially if you\u2019re in a home studio).
\nThe FX series monitors come equipped with DSP controlled boundary control EQ switches, that allow you to compensate for spaces that may not have been \u201ctuned\u201d or just need to be adjusted due to their proximity to the wall behind them. There is also a guide conveniently printed on the rear panel to show how the DIP switches work, and a more detailed explanation in the user guide.<\/p>\n

Class D and DSP powered<\/strong>
\nThe FX80v2 is a Class-D bi-amplified studio monitor.Class-D benefits are clean, reliable power, more headroom, less power consumption and heat.
\nIt also employs a powerful DSP standalone integration The digitally controlled crossover makes each monitor more even and consistent.
\nThe new FX series is truly a 21st Century reference monitor at home in any recording studio.<\/p>\n

LED indicator on front baffle<\/strong>
\nThe illuminated LED on the front panel is not only a status indicator, displaying whether the FX monitor is on, off or in standby, but also acts as an alignment beacon which allows you to properly align your speakers to your ear level.<\/p>\n

V2 Improvements<\/strong>
\nWe have listened to the constructive feedback from our customers and implemented a few improvements to the FX series. The biggest being a general flatting of the frequency response. We uncovered a few more EQ biquads and applied them to areas that could use flattening. The result is a more even response, optimum for mixing. The other improvement is updating the panel artwork to be a little bigger and clearer to read<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
