Grand Piano Suite is a stack of grand pianos, recorded on every key at 3-5 unique velocities. A full ten foot grand piano in a huge chamber, an old upright grand piano with felt, and a vintage electric grand piano with mics and direct to tube amps. Blended together, they become a rich sonic landscape to add depth to any track. Real instruments in real spaces with all the functionality of a synthesizer and full effects.
GRAND PIANO SUITE
A grand piano is an incredibly inspiring instrument, and to sit in the same room with one is truly a memorable experience. We give you an instrument that started in those rooms with real mics, but then we leave it to you to create something new when you blend them together.
We decided to take on the monumental task of recording each of these grand pianos on every key, not skipping notes and pitch shifting, but staying true to the integrity of the instrument, at 3-5 unique velocities. Use them as solo instruments or blend them in infinite configurations to create brand new hybrid tones.
